Bvlgari never ceases to surprise. At LVMH Watch Week Dubai the definite highlight by the Roman Jeweller was the debut of the smallest tourbillon set on the Serpenti Seduttori timepiece.
When it was first unveiled last year, Bvlgari’s new Serpenti Seduttori watch proved to be an icon reimagined.
Bvlgari defines itself the Jeweler of Time, and these watches, in full gold and diamonds, are real jewels that make the reading of time more precious than ever.
LVMH Watch Week Dubai, organized for the very first time by the luxury brand giant, took place last 13-15 January at the Bvlgari Resort Dubai, the largest among their hotel collection.
The event was highly appreciated by journalists and retailers alike, who had the first-hand opportunity of discovering the Group’s new creations and strategies ahead of Watches & Wonder Geneva and Baselworld – for many think these two key events are taking place too late in the year.
The Watch Week launched the new Serpenti Seduttori Tourbillon as a real gem, celebrated by attendees as the major highlight of this event.
New Serpenti Seduttori Tourbillon
Movement Mechanical manufacture movement with manual winding, Caliber BVL150, tourbillon, hours and minutes indications, 40-hour power-reserve, 21’600 Vph (3Hz), 23 jewels. Movement dimensions: 22mm x 18mm; thickness: 3.65mm. Case and dial 34mm 18kt rose gold case, full snow-set with round brilliant-cut diamonds. 18kt rose gold crown set with a cabochon-cut ruby (~0.28 ct). Case thickness: 8.90mm. Water-resistant up to 30m. Dial full snow-set with round brilliant-cut diamonds. Strap Brown alligator strap with a folding clasp set with round brilliant-cut diamonds. 299 diamonds in total (~2.88 cts)
It is quite remarkable to have a brand new watch rising to the status of icon in less than a year. It is even more remarkable to improve it by adding a sophisticated complication.
The Roman Jeweller spoiled us with ground-breaking innovations and records smashed one after the other – and the Serpenti Seduttori Tourbillon is no exception.
This new expression of the collection includes the rare tourbillon for women, the BVL150 Caliber.
This calibre, with its perfectly tiny proportions, represents Bvlgari’s unique union between horological mastery and jewellery savoir-faire.
The calibre’s design also expresses a great mechanical achievement, as it is the smallest movement currently on the market.
This new and ground-breaking movement seamlessly fit the watch’s case. It is rhodium-plated, hand-decorated with Côte de Genève, perlage and beveling, and features one sapphire bridge.
The Tourbillon model is therefore a great example of technical capabilities serving the aesthetics, and this gives life to a flawless timepiece.
The watch comes in rose gold or white gold with diamond pavé and a leather strap or white gold with diamond pavé and a full diamond bracelet.
The whole Serpenti Seduttori collection, including the newest Tourbillon model, are watches that are also jewels, in the full respect of the Maison’s brand codes.
