Yesterday, Sotheby’s London unveiled an exceptional Fancy Vivid Blue Diamond.
A remarkable gemstone that is to be auctioned at the upcoming Magnificent Jewels and Noble Jewels auction that will take place in Geneva next November 16.

The Sky Blue Diamond: this is the name of this mesmerizing Fancy Vivid Blue Diamond Ring, signed Cartier, and property of a distinguished private collection.
An extremely rare gemstone, The Sky Blue Diamond weighs 8.01 carats, and its name perfectly corresponds to its soft and vivid hue.

The Sky Blue Diamond has been graded Fancy Vivid Blue by the Gemological Institute of America (GIA).
This is the highest colour grading and it is granted to no more than 1% of all the blue diamonds submitted at the GIA for grading.
This diamond is also characterised by an excellent polish, and it is of Type IIb, a very rare category that represents less than 0.5% of all diamonds.
Here is how David Bennet, Worldwide Chairman at Sotheby’s International Jewellery Division, describes the ring:
‘The Sky Blue Diamond’ is of a wonderfully clear celestial blue, presented in an extremely square emerald cut – in my view, the most flattering of all the cuts for a coloured diamond. This important gem will, I am sure, captivate all collectors of exceptional gemstones.
This most important gem has a pre-sale estimate of $15-25 million.
It will be offered at the upcoming Magnificent Jewels and Noble Jewels auction at Sotheby’s Geneva, next November 16. CC
