Sport as a mean to help children and adolescents living in socially and economically needy circumstances. IWC partners with Laureus Italia Onlus to raise funds during the F1 Charity Night.
The Laureus movement received the blessing of Nelson Mandela, who said that “sport has the power to change the world”.
Laureus Italia Onlus has adopted sport as a mean to educate and support children living in depressed suburban areas. Through sports, kids and young people learn to share and to respect rules, cultural diversities, to live together and to develop a sense of belonging to the community.
A formative journey that has gone so far involving more than 1,500 young people in sports like soccer, basket, volleyball, surf, sailing, and more, going with them while growing and boosting their powers of inclusion and recovery.
On 30 August 2018, on the eve of Monza F1 Grand Prix, the Laureus F1 Charity Night will renew its appointment with fundraising, to sustain Laureus Italia Onlus’ activities.
The event will take place in Milan, at the Teatro Vetra, with many high-profile personalities set to take part, coming from all kind of areas: sport, showbusiness, entrepreneurial activities. All of them, together with the Laureus Ambassadors, under the aegis of solidarity.
The climax of the event will be the charity auction, with unique and exquisite creations offered by leading luxury brands.
Among them, IWC (major sponsor of Laureus Italia Onlus, together with Mercedes-Benz) will offer a Portofino Hand-Wound 8 Days Moon Phase, a unique piece expressly made for the Laureus F1 Charity Night.
You can contribute to the cause and help children and young people living in difficult social and economic conditions by placing your bid on the Charity Stars website.
Your bid will be the pre-sale estimate for the live auction on August 30th– higher the pre-sale estimate, more money will be collected out of the sale of the items. CC
