Richard Mille keeps surprising with a new model for her, in black ceramic and diamonds.

 

Another interesting SIHH 2018 preview, Richard Mille introduces an intriguing novelty that will please those ladies who appreciate a watch for both its technical aspects than for its aesthetic refinements.

 

The RM 07-01, in fact, presents an unprecedented model for the brand, and it features black ceramic set with diamonds.

 

 

The black ceramic TPZ is the preferred choice for this timepiece, thanks to its characteristics of stiffness and resistance to abrasion, together with a very thin grain that allows a perfect mat finishing.

Cécile Guenat, Responsible at Richard Mille for the Ladies Watches, explains:

“After having worked and set gemstones on the Carbon TPT®, we decided to extend this innovative technique to new materials. Ceramic was a natural choice because no one ever did it before. Today there are no difficulties in setting gemstones on such a material thanks to a process of direct microblasting.”

Every inch of this Richard Mille 07-01 is hand-polished, with the 0,25 mm diamonds set in red gold prongs, and all produced and polished one by one to obtain a homogeneous look.

The diamonds are brilliant cut, carefully selected to adorn the bezel and the black onyx dial and enhanced by the contrast with the deep black of the ceramic.

 

At the heart of the Richard Mille 07-01 Black Ceramic beats the automatic movement CRMA2.

 

The movement is produced by the Manufacture and presents bridges and plates in titanium grade 5. The rotor, in red gold 5N 18K with variable geometry, allows the speed of recharge to adjust to the wearer’s level of activity.

The Richard Mille 07-01 Black Ceramic will be officially unveiled at the upcoming Salon International de la Haute Horlogerie, in Geneva, next January 2018.
