A one-of-a-kind creation, Bulgari presents a new high jewellery watch that evokes Ancient Egypt’s glories and when the diva Elizabeth Taylor played the homonymous role at Cinecittà in the years of La Dolce Vita.
Update, 14 November 2023: Bulgari Serpenti Cleopatra received the Jewellery Watch Prize at the Grand Prix d’Horlogérie de Genève.
Graphic representation of the snake, a potent symbol of the Roman Maison and dedicated to one of the most famous queens in history. This is the new Serpenti Cleopatra.
This high jewellery watch is like a talisman that reveals the time, hidden by the transparency of a rubellite of over 5 carats, faceted and hexagonal cut.
The conical structure of the bracelet, in rose gold, wraps the wrist with softness and flexibility for maximum comfort.
The contemporary look of the watch draws on Bulgari’s design legacy and focuses on the snake’s scales. These are set with striking colour combinations of luminous, smooth-surfaced gemstones.
The rainbow of nine vivid gemstones surrounded by snow-set diamonds offers a unique high-jewellery creation marked by Bvlgari’s inimitable style, executed with the highest standards of high-jewellery craftsmanship.
Punctuating the design, contemporary in its evocations of a timeless motif, are nine gems: amethysts, citrines, an aquamarine and a rubellite, tourmalines, tanzanites and one peridot for a total weight of 50 carats, accompanied by 4,000 snow-set diamonds.
Moreover, the dial is set with diamonds and covered with a facetted hexagonal transparent rubellite, initially measuring nearly 10 carats.
Four hundred seventy hours of meticulous work for a unique piece of high jewellery and watchmaking that once again combines the technical expertise of the Roman Maison with colour and joie de vivre.
