Bonhams: Paris Jewels auction will be live tomorrow, 25 May, from 2 p.m.
Auctions are the perfect place to start or enrich your jewellery collection. Fine jewellery auctions offer exquisite jewels – signed, antique, vintage and modern. So even if you do not have millions to spend, you will find the right piece for you.
Bonhams Paris will offer exquisite creations. The sale’s highlights span from signed jewels to classic ones to antiques – the only thing to do is choose and bid!
The sale’s highlight is a Van Cleef & Arpels creation, the ‘Marché aux Fleurs’ bracelet.

Brilliant-cut diamonds, circular-cut rubies and emeralds define the leaves motifs. The bracelet is signed by Van Cleef & Arpels, numbered with French assay marks for 18-carat gold and platinum. It presents the maker’s mark for Pery & Fils and comes in a stamped Van Cleef & Arpels pouch.

This bracelet is also accompanied by a letter of authenticity from Van Cleef & Arpels dated 29th October 2021.
From a signed jewel to the uber classic: the diamond solitaire.

This ring is unique because its simple setting features an old-cut diamond of 5.54 carats. So this jewel is important in terms of stone weight, and it is also fascinating because it is a beautiful example of timeless elegance.

A short report from LFG accompanies the ring stating that the diamond is M Colour, VS2 Clarity.
Speaking of timeless elegance, here is a period in jewellery that never ceases to stir collectors’ interest: Art Deco.
Bonhams Paris will offer a splendid sapphire and diamond Art Deco bracelet.

The bracelet centres on an exquisite cabochon-cut sapphire and is set with old-, single- and rose-cut diamonds. Of French make, the gems are set, of course, in platinum.

From timeless antique to timeless vintage – Van Cleef & Arpels’ Alhambra necklace is often present on the auction block as it is quite sought after in all its colourful variations.

This time, the Alhambra necklace comes with its iconic quatrefoil motif rendered in lapis lazuli. Finally, one chain that can, if needed, become two!

If lapis lazuli is not your favourite, Bonhams will also offer a second Alhambra necklace in mother-of-pearl.
A few more highlights from the sale for you – even if it is a fine jewellery sale, you can still have your fancy coloured diamond. What about a Fancy Yellow Brown?

Of French make, this marquise-cut fancy diamond is set in white gold. The diamond is accompanied by a facsimile of a GIA report stating that the diamond is Natural, Fancy Yellow-Brown Colour, and has VVS1 Clarity.

The queen of coloured gems is ruby.

Another simple yet important ring as it features a Burmese ruby weighing 5.16 carats. The ruby and the baguette-cut diamonds are set in platinum of French make.

The ring is accompanied by a report from SSEF stating that the ruby is of Burmese origin, with no indication of heat treatment and a minor amount of oil in fissures.
Last but not least, let’s close this gallery with another example of antique refinement.

These earrings feature two beautiful cushion-cut sapphires from Kashmir. The earrings are not dated, but the design is reminiscent of the Belle Époque period.

The earrings are accompanied by two SSEF reports stating that the sapphires are of Kashmir origin with no indications of heating.
