For ladies loving complications on a watch, Audemars Piguet unveiled at SIHH its Royal Oak Concept, incorporating its first flying tourbillon.
According to the Manufacture, women’s watches are not merely about diamonds. There is much more to that.
That is why the Royal Oak Concept Flying Tourbillon was born. This timepiece gives ladies two premieres – a complication and the Royal Oak Concept itself. Click on the video below to admire it in motion.
The intricate mechanics of the movement go hand in hand with perfect gem setting.
The Royal Oak Concept for women is the first one since the launch of this collection, in 2002. It is also the first ladies wristwatch embedding the flying tourbillon complication.

The invisible gem setting adds to the preciousness of the baguette-cut diamonds version.
The brilliant-cut diamonds model boasts 397 stones (∼3.49 carats) for the case and buckle and 62 (∼0.16 carat) for the dial.

Close Up
Bold and big, yet so feminine.
The design of the dial lets the movement to appear, as if floating, to appreciate the intricate work of the master watchmaker.
Satin-finished bridges, polished angles and white lacquered decorations are also visible through the sapphire crystal case back. On the white gold dial, at 11 o’clock, there is the openworked barrel.
The dial also features faceted stone set “icicles” and white lacquered decorations. A pleasant visual hint to the winter season in the Vallée de Joux.
