Faithful to the feminine world, Richard Mille launched a new exclusive movement, an automatic tourbillon, encapsulated in a bejewelled case. For Ladies only.
The new Richard Mille Automatic Tourbillon (RM 71-01) is a real jewel. Not only for the gold of its case and the diamonds that embellish it. Its preciousness is also to be found in a more hidden component: its movement.
Brand new mechanics
The RM 71-01 boasts an automatic tourbillon, entirely developed by the Manufacture, that is a very first.
The automatic tourbillon presents exceptional characteristics of ultra-high performance, reliability and amazing finishes.
With this horological tourbillon, the brand introduces the Calibre CRMT1, its eighth, in-house calibre.
Skeletonised and tonneau-shaped, with a thickness no greater than 6.2 mm and a weight of just 8 grams, the Calibre CRMT1—housed in a case of white or red gold—is dressed in titanium.
A watch that is a talisman.
Evoking supernatural protection, the Richard Mille Automatic Tourbillon Talisman derives its design from both Art Deco and Tribal art inspirations.
An artistic protective jewel on the wrist that offers ten different interpretations for case and dials, which express two different worlds, one natural and another urbaner.
Graphic worlds that are glorified by the different diamond settings, the pure beauty of black onyx, the delicacy of the mother-of-pearl and the mystery of black sapphires.
The contrasts, geometry, and sacred character of these objects fascinate me all the more because they prefigured today’s design through the fusion of content and form. Cécile Guenat, Ladies’ Collection Director at Richard Mille
Aesthetics in perfect harmony.
The new Richard Mille Automatic Tourbillon Talisman called in many different crafts: jewellery artisans, dial makers and watchmakers were put to the test by the complexity of this extraordinary piece.
They joined forces under the guide of Cécile Guenat, Ladies’ Collection Director, to offer the most perfect jewelled fittings to seamlessly follow and integrate with the mechanical sophistication of the movement.
The result has been a masterpiece of balance, in which manual virtuosity combines with extreme precision.
The bezel is adorned with diamonds in permutations that vary in the number, shape and size of the stones according to the version.
The case back is engraved with matt bands that contrast strikingly with the brilliance of the stones and the high polish of all other surfaces.
The RM 71-01 is a timepiece in which movement, dial and case offer an aesthetic, technical and visual dialogue in each version. Mechanical structure and fine jewellery elements become one, in the perfect entwining of grace and graphic structure.
Limited to a suite of 10 variations, each timepiece is produced in an edition of just 5 pieces.
The new RM 71-01 Automatic Tourbillon Talisman captures the passage of time in all its diverse facets, as a sparkling amulet accompanying the woman who wears its graceful lines, every day. CC
