A Deep Dive into Tiffany’s Blue Book 2015 – The Art of the Sea

Water has endless permutations. Never still, never the same, it is nature’s most changeable element, able to shift, shade and form movement and mood in a matter of moments. The jewels of the 2015 Blue Book capture water’s energetic and fluid soul, by turns shimmering and brilliant, moody and profound. – Francesca Amfitheatrof

Tiffany & Co.’s new Blue Book Collection, The Art of the Sea, is a mesmerising celebration of the sea’s multiple hues, tones and depths, in all its fascinating and scaring beauty.

When rays of light penetrate the sea, graduating hues are revealed. For the Blue Tourmaline Scale Ring, Tiffany designers and stone setters arranged blue tourmalines and white diamonds to evoke the colors of water at various depths.

Nature adorns the sea’s creatures with elegant fins so they can flow gracefully through the water. Their patterns and movements are an endless source of inspiration. F.A.

A hand-etched Japanesque flask from the Tiffany archives led Tiffany designer director to create this bold Japanesque Wave Bracelet. Her sketches of highly stylized waves were translated into swirls of 18k white and yellow gold and diamonds.
