While waiting for the 74th edition of Cannes Film Festival, Chopard unveils an anticipation of their new Red Carpet Collection: Paradise.
Chopard officially presented the new Paradise collection at the next Cannes Film Festival, from July 6 to July 17, 2021.
Today, we have the opportunity of admiring the very first pieces of a high jewellery collection that will include 74 pieces – as the 74th edition of the Festival.
The Inspiration
Nature, in all its purity, is the driving inpiration behind Paradise, the new Red Carpet Collection.
Nature is here a dreamlike and fruitful place, always accessible, where everyone is free to regenerate when they feel the need. A “paradise” to seek within oneself, tailored to one’s imagination and desires, and deeply personal.
The Paradise Red Carpet collection has a baroque and extravagant spirit which translates the lush nature of the mythological or real spaces that populate this fictional repertoire.
It is a place of abundance, reminiscent of the garden of Eden, where precious stones are like berries, where plants offer their fruits and animals enchant with their sounds and chromatic richness.
It is a secret retreat, a metaphorical space to find refuge, where you can escape from reality to catch your breath.
The Jewels
Taking inspiration from this universe, Caroline Scheufele used all her creative resources to compose the Red Carpet Collection and today’s specimens in preview.
First, the row of yellow diamonds draws a double-lap aristocrat choker that illuminates the décolleté, majestically embellished with an extraordinary stone: a sublime 30.68-carat fancy vivid yellow diamond, alone, seems to contain all the richness and splendour of this jewellery paradise on its own.
Other creations in the collection include the “serpent” ring that conveys all the magic of the Garden of Eden and the delicate sautoir of tsavorites with a leaf-shaped pendant that sparkles on the décolleté.
The “dauphins” ring, lulled by the enchanting waves of a sea of sapphires, makes the small diamond cetaceans dance around an extraordinary 59-carat oval tanzanite.
The richness of gems painting multi-colour graphic patterns renders the vibrancy of nature and the soothing power of water. Paradise Red Carpet Collection pays tribute to Chopard’s high jewellery workshops in Geneva. It confirms as an appointment not to be missed.
