This Spring season, Christie’s Jewels Kong Kong is delighted to present an extraordinary sale featuring four impressive private collections.
Of historical significance is the family collection of K’ung Hsiang-Hsi, who married Soong Ai-ling, the eldest of the three famed Soong sisters. The couple’s close connections with influential people in China and abroad allowed them to assemble one of the most important collections of jadeite, natural pearl and signed jewellery pieces.
Comprising approximately 300 lots, this sale is highlighted by a highly saturated 9.07 carats fancy intense pink internally flawless clarity rectangular-shaped diamond ring, mounted by Harry Winston.
Leading the coloured stones category are a Burmese pigeon’s blood red ruby and diamond necklace, by Etcetera; a 5.11 carats Burmese pigeon’s blood red oval-shaped ruby and diamond ring, by Etcetera and a unique 10.33 carats circular-cut Kashmir sapphire ring.
Standing out from a stunning array of jadeite pieces, is a jadeite bead necklace. Each jadeite is of outstanding translucency and characterized by a saturated green vein within a nearly colourless matrix crossing each bead.
