With Bvlgari Eternal, the Roman Maison opens a new and ambitious chapter in its creative history — one that does not merely revisit the past, but actively reimagines it.
Unveiled in January 2026, the collection inaugurates a long-term journey through Bvlgari’s rich archives, transforming foundational designs into contemporary expressions of craftsmanship, innovation, and identity.
Rather than treating its heritage as a static legacy, Bvlgari approaches the archive as a living, evolving source of inspiration. Through a meticulous curatorial process, forgotten or lesser-known creations are rediscovered and reinterpreted, allowing the Maison’s past to speak fluently in the present. Bvlgari Eternal thus becomes a bridge between eras — where memory, design intelligence, and modern sensibility converge.
As Jean-Christophe Babin, CEO of Bvlgari, explains, the collection represents “a bridge between past and future, fuelled by the power of reinvention,” celebrating the timeless spirit of the Maison while projecting it forward through a contemporary lens. Heritage, at Bvlgari, is not preserved — it is transformed.
Vimini: A 1942 Jewel Reimagined
The inaugural chapter of Bvlgari Eternal is Vimini, inspired by a bracelet created in 1942 and preserved within the Maison’s archives. Emerging as one of the cornerstones of Bvlgari’s stylistic DNA, the original piece was born during the constraints of the Second World War — a period in which creativity was challenged by material and social limitations.
Its undulating motif, rooted in the essential lines of Italian Rationalism, unfolds in rhythmic repetition and anticipates many of the codes that would later define Bvlgari’s identity: chromatic contrasts, modular design, and an unapologetic embrace of gold in its warmest nuances. In doing so, it asserted a distinctly Roman aesthetic, standing apart from the platinum-dominated traditions of French high jewellery.
The name Vimini arises naturally from the design itself, evoking the ancient technique — perfected by Greek and Roman civilisations — of weaving natural fibres to create baskets and everyday objects. This ancestral manual tradition, passed down through centuries, is reinterpreted by Bvlgari’s designers and artisans, who transform a humble, utilitarian reference into a powerful contemporary jewellery language.
When imagining this line of jewellery, I always kept the reference to the original archival piece alive, captivated by its timeless charm. I was struck by its rhythmic geometry and the warm tones of gold, which we reinterpreted with a modern sensibility. Each creation is fluid and tactile, designed to move naturally with the body: contemporary, elegant, and deeply connected to our heritage.

Fluidity, Movement, and Contemporary Elegance
Today, the Vimini design is reinterpreted across five jewellery creations — a necklace, a bracelet, a ring, and two pairs of earrings — alongside exceptional one-of-a-kind High Jewellery pieces. Each creation preserves the spirit of the original while translating it into a modern, wearable form.
At the heart of the collection, the Vimini bracelet offers the most direct homage to its archival predecessor. A golden wave wraps around the wrist, composed of rhomboid elements that rest harmoniously on the skin, connected by invisible flexible links. Designed to move naturally with the body, it balances sculptural presence with effortless fluidity.
The necklace extends this dialogue between jewel and wearer, enveloping the décolleté with a smooth, polished surface that diffuses light with subtle elegance. Its modular structure enhances the sensation of movement, reinforcing Bvlgari’s mastery in creating jewellery that feels alive.
The ring introduces a more assertive note. Reinterpreting the original modules, it takes shape as a foldable five-band design — a contemporary classic poised between heritage and avant-garde.
Verticality defines the earrings, articulated in a drop version that captures the warmth and radiance of gold, while a bold mono-earring ear-cuff explores the more audacious side of modular design, translating the Vimini motif into a modern essential.
High Jewellery and Material Innovation
Beyond its everyday elegance, Vimini expands into the realm of High Jewellery, where Bvlgari once again demonstrates its pioneering approach to materials. Here, innovation becomes an expressive tool rather than a technical exercise.
Central to these creations is the introduction of Diamond-Like Carbon (DLC) — an advanced coating known for its exceptional hardness and resistance — into high jewellery. In Bvlgari’s hands, this material acquires a new aesthetic dimension, creating a striking dialogue between depth and luminosity when paired with gold and diamond pavé.
Exploring both horizontal and vertical compositions, these High Jewellery pieces give rise to chokers, classic necklaces, and avant-garde poncho-style designs. The result is a bold visual language that blurs the boundaries between ornament, architecture, and movement, reaffirming Bvlgari’s ability to innovate while remaining anchored in its identity.
A World Premiere on the Golden Globes Red Carpet
This dialogue between heritage and innovation found its most immediate public expression on one of the world’s most visible stages. In Los Angeles, global ambassador Lisa Manobal unveiled an enchanting world preview of Bvlgari Eternal as she stepped onto the red carpet of the Golden Globes wearing a High Jewellery creation from the Vimini chapter.
The Bvlgari Eternal Vimini necklace revealed a visionary interplay of light and shadow, translating contrast into visual charisma and reaffirming the collection’s architectural strength.
Completing the look, Lisa paired the necklace with the Vimini five-band ring in yellow gold, and a pair of high jewellery studs.
In this moment, Bvlgari Eternal moved beyond the archive and the atelier, affirming its place within contemporary cultural imagery — a collection rooted in memory, yet fully attuned to the present.
A New Signature for a Living Archive
Accompanying the Bvlgari Eternal journey is a new archival hallmark: the BE stamp. More than a signature, it is a symbol that evokes heritage, imagination, and timeless artistry. It marks not a conclusion, but the beginning of an ongoing exploration — one in which Bvlgari’s past continues to inspire its future.
With Bvlgari Eternal, the Roman Maison reasserts a powerful conviction: that true heritage lies not in preservation alone, but in the courage to reinvent — endlessly.
