Among these remarkable treasures, lot 56 of Christie’s Magnificent Jewels Auction (12 November 2024, Geneva), the Maharaja necklace, shines as a symbol of grandeur and artistry.
With pear brilliant-cut diamonds of 25.50, 11.24 and 11.13 carats, diamonds of various shapes, 18k white gold (French marks), transformable in 7 necklaces, three bracelets, one brooch and four pairs of earrings, signed Van Cleef & Arpels and VCA, maker’s mark, numbered, three fitted green Van Cleef & Arpels cases.
Estimate: CHF 3,5-5 million.
Crafted by the renowned Maison Française de Haute Joaillerie Van Cleef & Arpels, this exceptional piece required an extraordinary five thousand hours of meticulous work to come to life.
